Background
It
was back in 1993 when Minanda Gustavsson, founder of LivsHälsa, met a
medical Doctor working in Sweden named Juan Sanchez. Juan, orginally from
South America, told Minanda about a special kind of herbal tea and explained:
- Due to the rich content of nutrional substanses, this kind of herbal tea has traditionally been used by native Indians as a "survival drink" on long walks in the desserts and mountains of South America.
- Why don´t you offer this to your clients at your practice?
Minanda received instructions about how to prepare and drink this herbal tea and after a few weeks of trial, she decided to start a small import. Juan Sanchez contributed with his knowledge of the selection of quality, how the herbal tea should be treated and prepared. Until this day, we are very grateful for Juan´s assistance.
In the year of the Dragon, 2000, LivsHälsa launched its own brand of Organically grown green herbal tea - DRAKENS. Juan Sanchez spends part of the year in his home village not far from the Amazonas. LivsHälsa continue the cooperation with Juan and supports his vision of a Health Center nect to the Rainforest. A center with an emphasis on a more natural and simplified way of living where Natures´ own herbs and plants forms the base for our health and wellbeing.
